Title:  Introduction to the Protein Structure Prediction 


Proteins are essential parts of all living organisms and participate in every process within cells,
for example, in biochemical reactions, cell signaling, and immune responses. Their cellular
functions are carried out through structural charicteristics. Thus the revealing the structure of
proteins can provide important clues to understand functions and mechanisms of life.

One of the most important and urgent problem in the field of computational biology is
the protein structure prediction. It is to develop computational methods to determine the
native three dimensional structure of proteins. In this talk, I will overview the protein
structure prediction problem, difficulties of it, and the latest trends in this field.
